PraiseWriters membership reopens this fall!

Discern your next steps with purpose and peace.

You have an enemy and he wants to keep you alone and confused.

He has everything to lose when you let your Spirit-led words into the world.

But within a community of faithful Catholic communicators with a strong sense of calling, you will:

  • Claim the conviction you need to rebuke the lies
  • Find the motivation you need to stay consistent
  • Discover the direction you need to make the next right step forward in the creative journey

Writing is one of the few truly solitary acts we do, but living a writing life doesn’t need to be done in isolation. It shouldn’t be.

We were created in the image of a God who creates–and does so with words!–AND who exists as a communion of persons: the Blessed Trinity.

PraiseWriter members participate in his creativity and his communion through our shared love of words, our reverence for their Source, and our desire to see each other grow and flourish as Catholic writers.

When you join PraiseWriters, We think you’ll say,

"I’ve found my people!"

We believe that sense of calling and conviction will translate into writing that is clear, beautiful, and resplendent with truth.

As a solidly Catholic writing community, we start with your identity as a son or daughter of God. As our spiritual advisor says, “Writing is secondary.”

We also believe that you, by virtue of your baptism, have a call on your life to participate in the prophetic work of Jesus Christ. That means that each Christian, without exception, is called to extend the Gospel message into the world today.

The way we do that will be unique to each of us. But PraiseWriter members have discerned that part of their call includes the crafting of words and the shaping of messages to open minds, move hearts, and stir imaginations.

We support you in this sacred vocation. We do this in a way that is very practical, but also deeply spiritual and uniquely Catholic.

What we believe

We believe the Holy Spirit has anointed you, the Catholic writer, for a purpose and has appointed you for such a time as this.

We believe that the darkness of the world and the spiritual hunger of both believers and unbelievers alike have converged upon the call of the Catholic writer today.

We believe that the words stolen by the enemy can be reclaimed by God’s people and put into the service of Jesus Christ and that the Catholic writer has a singularly powerful role in this timely mission.

We know that Catholic writers and communicators have particular lies they battle regularly and that certain prayers and practices are most effective at pushing back the darkness, both internal and external.

We know there is a particular temptation for writers to feel alone and to remain isolated and self-doubting.

We realize that even when the calling is clear and the desire is firm, the world of writing and especially publishing today is increasingly nebulous and sometimes intimidating.

HERE'S WHAT YOU GET

When you become a PraiseWriter member

LIVE Weekly Interviews

Wednesday afternoons are our favorite! We come together for LIVE, interactive interviews with your favorite Catholic authors, editors, publishers, and marketers to learn their stories, secrets, and best practices ... and we leave time for your questions.

We ask authors:

  • How did you get started writing?
  • What is your writing routine like?
  • How do you find time to do the deep, creative work?

We ask publishers:

  • What makes a writer interesting and gets your attention?
  • What types of books do you publish?
  • How can a writer submit their book for publishing consideration?
Fun, informal, inspirational, and incredibly informative, these conversations are pure gold.

Bi-Weekly “Office Hours” and Meetups

Every month, members have direct access to Claire's exclusive mini-trainings with group coaching time and a separate Zoom “meetup” to discuss the content of recent interviews and trainings.

These provide the opportunity for members to meet each other, share about their projects, ask questions, receive feedback and encouragement, and dislodge creative bottlenecks and roadblocks.
