PraiseWriter members participate in his creativity and his communion through our shared love of words, our reverence for their Source, and our desire to see each other grow and flourish as Catholic writers.
What we believe?
We believe the Holy Spirit has anointed you, the Catholic writer, for a purpose and has appointed you for such a time as this.
We believe that the darkness of the world and the spiritual hunger of both believers and unbelievers alike have converged upon the call of the Catholic writer today.
We believe that the words stolen by the enemy can be reclaimed by God’s people and put into the service of Jesus Christ and that the Catholic writer has a singularly powerful role in this timely mission.
We know that Catholic writers and communicators have particular lies they battle regularly and that certain prayers and practices are most effective at pushing back the darkness, both internal and external.
We know there is a particular temptation for writers to feel alone and to remain isolated and self-doubting.
We realize that even when the calling is clear and the desire is firm, the world of writing and especially publishing today is increasingly nebulous and sometimes intimidating.

Wednesday afternoons are our favorite! We come together for live, interactive interviews with Catholic writers, authors, editors, publishers, and marketers to learn their stories, secrets, and best practices.

We make sure to include conversations not just about the craft of writing and process of publishing but also the necessary art of relational, authentic platform building.

The Catholic Church has all the resources we need to discern God’s will. We share those, moreover, we share practical and professional advice and lots of real-life examples to help members discover the next step they need to take and put on blinders around everything else.

Yup, that’s all of us. Most days see members running to softball practice, folding laundry, teaching classes, or doing the readings at daily Mass. We are lawyers, entrepreneurs, musicians, parents, counselors, catechists, caregivers, and coaches. We do a lot of things, and often struggle to find time to write or even listen to interviews.
That’s why we record our events and offer bite-sized trainings to give you quick wins and buoy up your motivation to make the most of the time you do have.
What we’ve all found is that God has a way of taking the little we offer him and multiplying our moments miraculously. He lesses our yes.

And not just a writing journey, but a spiritual one. We’ve discovered that our creative work is part of that process. We pray it helps others, but we know it is transforming us, one word, one syllable at a time.

The things that come up as we dig deep and put forth reveal places that he wants to heal, restore, and integrate. In many ways, the writing is an invitation to greater intimacy and communion with him.
