Our redeemed stories serve our baptismal call and our prophetic mission – they become extensions of the Gospel and reveal God’s mercy and providence to others. 

But we always want to share from a place of restoration, not brokenness. So it requires prayerful discernment:

• How can we separate the truth about stories from the false self-narratives we may be holding onto?
• How do we know if we are called to share? 
• In what format? 1-1?  Small group settings?  Stages? Blog Posts? Books?
• How can we be confident that we are ready to communicate our sacred stories? 
• Can we discern how much to reveal, and how much to keep in our hearts?  
• What do we do with shame or fear around our testimony?
• And can we learn to seek out God’s continued healing for those parts of our personal “salvation histories” that have yet to be fully redeemed in Christ?
